Things every girl should know before turning 18s
You know what the most common thing about
us girls is?
The moment we step into our 18s, we
suddenly change a little.
Not completely mature, not completely
childish – just somewhere in between. That’s
exactly how we are at that phase.
And this happens with all of us…
The ones who are in their 18s right now, the
ones who have already been there, and the
ones who will step into it in the future – we all
become like this in our 18s.
A strong desire to explore so many things, a
wish to fulfill so many dreams, cravings to try
new experience….
That urge to do everything we’ve never done
before.
And then come those tiny little things that
aren’t really that important…
but at that moment, nothing feels more
meaningful than them to us.
LIKE…
Girls’ privacy.
A strong urge to have a boyfriend.
And the wishe to cut hair by our own choice,
not just because our mom wants it that way.
Isn’t this whole adulting thing amazing?
I don’t know what happens to us during this
phase – we just become someone a little
different.
And yes… point to be noted….
This is also the time when we make a lot
of mistakes.
Right?
Adulting things for 18s girls.
So first of all, let’s talk about privacy.
Oh yaar, I wish I had my own room..
( and the ones who already have their own
room still think, “I wish it were a little bigger.” )
I wish I had my own privacy…
so that after coming back from college, I
could just relax comfortably in my own room
in loose, comfortable clothes.
That’s kind of how it feels, right?
I would invite my friends over to my house, to
my room….
Sit together and gossip a little about boys,
etcetera, etcetera – just like that.
Common feelings girls experience
at 18
Of course, because of hormonal changes, one
of the siliest wishes that comes with entering
our 18s is –
“I wish I had a boyfriend…..” ( Lol…)
No head, no tail – no logic at all.
we don’t even know why or for what reason.
In our 18s, the desire to have a boyfriend
comes really strongly, right?…Lol.
Most of the time, that’s just how it is.
( Although, that’s a different story – these
days it starts happening even during school
itself. )
If someone asks why all of this happens…
Most people will simply say it’s because of
hormonal changes. They’ll explain that you’re
moving from being a child toward becoming
an adult, so having these desires is
completely normal.
That’s usually the overall answer to all of it…
But you’ll mostly hear this explanation from
those parents who want to be friends with
their kids ( which is kind of trending these days )
And the ones who prefer to stay the classic
“strict parents”?
Well…from them you’ll mostly get scolded –
that’s it, …nothing more.
So well…if this has happened to you, or if it
ever does –
don’t worry. It’s completely normal, okay?
In 18s, there’s really only one solution to
all of this – just learn from your mistakes.
Because not making mistakes at all during
this phase?
That’s honestly not possible.
By the way, what other things do you think we
start wishing for during this phase?
Like…
Getting our hair styled the way we want, not
the way Mom decides.
Buying clothes of our own choice, not just
what she prefers.
Having craving to try new beauty hacks.
Wishing to learn how to ride a scooty or a bick.
And so many more little things…
Would you like to add something more to this
list too?
How to Deal With the Adulting Mess.
Look yaar, if you’re someone who is regretting
the mistakes you made during this phase, or
you’re trying really hard to avoid all of this….
Then I have something for you.
According to me, this is the phase of life
where we make the most mistakes – and it’s
okay.
Life is life. It’s not meant to be perfect,
otherwise it would become boring.
It’s supposed to be the way it is – a little
imperfect and filled with a few mistakes here
and there.
But if something really big goes wrong…
something that doesn’t feel like a “normal
mistake,” the listen to your guardians and
your mom and dad.
Because adulting can be a little dangerous. At
that time, we’re not fully adults, but we’re not
completely kids either.
That’s why our decisions aren’t always 100%
right during that phase. If something truly
serious happens, make sure you share it with
an elder.
I know this might sound a little cheesy to you,
or maybe even old-fashioned…
But trust me, at that time, that’s actually the
best thing for you. Because no matter how
smart you are,
you’re still not mature enough at that phase.
