She Lived Because She Dreamed

There’s a real story I’d like to share with you guys
I don’t know whether this story shows struggle, courage, or
determination, but I feel it might lessen your problems a little…
or maybe change the way you look at life.

One day an 8 year old girl sees a lady at a wedding.
That lady is an independent woman who is very
successful in her career….
that day the little 8 year old girl thinks, “I will also build
my career and become very successful.

At the age of 8, children don’t even know the meaning
of career.
But at that age, she started dreaming of becoming successful,
dreaming of being independent, dreaming that her parents would
be proud of her.

At the age of 8, who knows what they want to do,
what they want to study…She wasn’t any different either –
she too didn’t know what she should do.
But every night before sleeping, she used to dream that
one day she would become successful, she would work very hard,
she would become independent.

A Little Girl with Big Dreams

And then comes the time when children actually start thinking
about what they want to do in 10th grade.
Of course, that girl was smart and understanding.
she felt it’s time to prove herself, she studied hard for her
boards exams, and of course, topped – just like she wanted to.

Truly, she topped in her entire school in 10th boards exams.

You know how they say, if you truly wish for something with
all your heart, then the whole universe conspires to make it

happen –

The same thing happened with her. She wanted to top, she
worked very hard, and she did it.

Then after the results came out, she didn’t even think what to
do next.
when her family found out, they came to know that this
16 year old girl has cancer

She learned to fight instead of giving up

So our story’s heroine is really strong, right? she cried a little…
actually, a lot.
Then she started her tretment. Till her 11th admission, her cousins
handled everything.
She didn’t really understand what was happening, where she had
to take admission – she just went with the flow,
let everything happen as it was happening.

While taking chemo, she gave her 12th board exams – one day chemo,
another day exams – still she didn’t lose courage.
She thought, ” This time too shall pass. I just have to fulfill
my dreams.”

How they say that even in difficulties, we should see opportunities.
she too didn’t realize that unknowingly, she was seeing opportunities
in her struggles…

She kept thinking that one day, when she’s cured of cancer, she’ll
focus only on her career.
And in one way, she felt that this illness happened to her for a reason…
Otherwise, after finishing studies, her parents might have gotten her
married off –
then how would she have built her own career, how would she
have been successful in her own field?

In just three years, everthing got better…she even got admission
to a big college for her graduation – you know, life finally got back
on track.

Six months after getting into college, the cancer came back …
but the good thing was that this time too, she didn’t panic or
break down – instead, she showed great courage and chose
to leave her semester exams to go for tretment.

Fading hopes amid a worsening illness

And this time, she needed a major tretment – a big transplant
which she went through with immense courage.
The process was painful, but still, there was a spark of hope in
her heart that after this, she would again focus on her career.
She knew that if she wanted to build her career, she had to go
all of this.

That big transplant took an entire year, but now she’s back
to normal again.

Athough her college admission was no longer valid, she
still didn’t panic. She thought , “I’ll take entrance exam again
and get into an even better college this time.”

With this mindset, she started moving forward. she was happy,
thinking , ” Finally !
After such a major transplant, there’s no chance of the cancer
coming back. Now I’ll focus completely on my studies.”

Then after 6 months, she started feeling pain again,
and the reports showed that the cancer had returned.

The doctors said that if the cancer has come back even after such
a major transplant, then no matter how many tretments or
chemotherapy sessions you take, it will return again after 6 months –
you’ll have to learn to live like that.

Now that girl who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16,
who spent all these years believing that this bad time would also
pass…she turned 21, and now she is completely broken.

And even now, she isn’t worried at all about dying – not at all.
the only thing she worries about is that if she doesn’t recover completely,
how will she build her career?

Dreams amid advancing cancer

And yes, calling her ” poor girl” would be completely wrong
because helpless people are not brave. Helpless people don’t
worry about their career and family more than their own life.

Don’t know if her dreams and goals will ever come true or not
Don’t know what to say to her..

Dreams are those that don’t let you sleep at night – and her dreams
don’t let her sleep either.

Even after this, there’s still a hope alive in her heart that one day she
will definitely make her dreams come true.

This is a true story, and you know why I shared this story with you.

Because this story shows us what never giving up truly means.
I mean come on – we’re fit, we’re fine, we’re healthy… and if that
little girl, after going through so many struggles, still refuse to give up
then honestly, what could be a bigger inspiration than that?

It’s not like she never gave up – she did. But she got back up
and started moving toward her dreams again

And that girl is me
