A few days ago, I went shopping with my friend
priyanka. While shopping, I saw some beautiful bangles
that I really liked, and I bought them as a birthday gift for
my mum.
And when I gave those bangles to my mum, they turned out
to be very loose for her.
So she returned them, and since she already has plenty of bangles,
she decided to get something else instead.
Then I thought, my gift basically went to waste, right? So I
decided to give her something else instead.

An idea came to my mind – instead of giving my mum some
store-bought present, why not give her something she
actually needs: a day off from the kitchen.
There’s no better gift than a homemade one…so why not
gift my mom a meal cooked with my own hands?
Believe me, whether you’re a boy or a girl, if you truly
want to give your mother a gift she will genuinely love, there’s
nothing better than this.
I also have a few more ideas that my friends and I have tried.
- Cook your mom’s favorite dish and serve it to her.
Trust me, no matter what gift you give, you won’t see the
kind of happiness on her face that you’ll see when you make
her favorite food. It’s the best gift for every mother.

- You can also add one more thing…you know, you can make
noodles for your mom in the afternoon if you really want to
give her a full day off from the kitchen. My mum loves the noodles I make.
- Give your mom the gift of a full day off from the kitchen
by doing all the work yourself –
from washing the dishes to cooking the meals – and letting her
just sit in front of the TV and watch her favorite movie.
Believe me, these small gestures make moms incredibly, happy.
Have you ever tried doing something like this for your mom?
Would you like to add some of your own ideas to these – small,
simple, efforts like this?
