In our daily lives, we want to do so many things
right?
We want to adopt new habits, add or remove certain
things from our routines…but somehow it just
doesn’t happen.
No matter how hard we try, we can’t stay consistent.
It happens with you all too, right?
This had been happening to me for a long time too,
but unknowingly I found the right way to solve this problem
and stay consistent with my new habits.

How I Broke My phone Addiction
The biggest reason I couldn’t stay consistent with my
new habits was my phone addiction.
So instead of directly reducing my phone usage, I
tried a different approach.
I enjoy using my phone the most at night and during
lunch or dinner, but I used to be on my phone the
entire day.
So instead of scrolling on my phone, I started
downloading web series.
Since downloading one web series uses up my entire
1-day data pack.
And I love using my phone mostly at night and during
lunch and dinner, I watch those web series only at that
scheduled time.
This way, one web series lasts the whole day for me,
and I can spend the rest of the day without using my
phone.
And now I get the entire day for my work and for
building new habits.
Of course, staying without my phone isn’t easy I
do feel the urge to use it in between. So to avoid
that craving to use my phone, I tried a few small
and simple steps.

Tiny Habits That Slowly Killed My Phone
Craving
I started writing my daily goals in a small diary – on the frist
day I wrote one goal, on the second day two, and on the
third day three. Slowly, this became a habit.
I began completing all my daily goals, and ticking them off
in that diary started to feel satisfying in it’s own special way.
This way my whole day gets managed, and if I still feel
like checking my phone, I just go out and chat with my
friends instead.
Because of this, my overall screen time has reduced a lot.
So yeah, if you really want to change or build new habits,
you can definitely try fun and unconventional tricks like these.
Have you ever come up with such weird and quirky ideas too?
please tell me!
